Because the Lord God did not find anyone to "stand in the gap," to intercede for the land, He was requited to pour out the judgment due its disobedience. Ezekiel 22:30-31
Early Morning Prayer Ministry of ECOD is for intercessors to lift up others to our heavenly Father. Intercessors come daily at 6 AM Monday – Saturday. The ministry is open to anyone who feels led by God to intercede on behalf of others and dedicate one hour a day to praying the needs and requests; the lost, the sick, our church and church leaders, our country and the military, our community, and the various ministries of our church.
Our goal is not to simply be a church with a prayer ministry – but a praying church. At ECOD we believe that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. ” James 5:16b
We Believe that prayer is the foundation of any successful church or ministry and that effective and consistent prayer is the medium by which God accomplishes His kingdom work on earth.
Characteristics of a successful intercessor
1. Persistence and determination. Isaiah 62:6-7 Lamentations 2:18-19
2. Patience. Isaiah 62:6-7; Lamentations 2:18-19
3. Faith. Isaiah 64:7
4. Severe self-discipline and selflessness. Mark 14:33-35; Lamentations 3:48-50
