How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of who they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:14

The Ministerial Ministry serves Christ and the church by building the Kingdom of God through preaching, teaching and working. At ECOD a minister is authorized and licensed by the pastor to perform clergy functions such as teaching of beliefs, performing services such as weddings, baptisms or funerals and provide spiritual guidance. They carry the title of Minister.
Ordained ministers in ECOD have completed a probation period. Candidates are closely monitored and the timeline is individual dependent on academics, background and life experiences. They are “Teachers of God” who have made a deliberate choice. They recognize that the messages they deliver are intended first for themselves and that they represent the church and pastor.
Qualifications
- Called, anointed and appointed by the Lord Jesus Christ
- Have a passion and energy for working with people in need
- Willing to follow the “By-laws” and “Article of Faith”
- Possess strong and growing personal faith
- Possess intellectual abilities to teach the Word of God
- Management ability
Ordination Process
- Observation
- Initial / trial sermon
- 2 year license with renewal if candidate has maintain their walk with God
