Transportation

The purpose of the Transportation Ministry is to provide needed transportation to church services and church related functions. This includes transportation to and from Sunday School, worship services, special programs and events, outreach, outside engagements, and other church related activities. This ministry depends on people dedicated to the church bus and van’s upkeep to ensure that the church has a vehicle (s) that can meet the church needs; as well ensure the safety of the passengers.
Duties
- Oversee the operation- ensure the church bus / van has fuel and the doors are locked when bus / van is parked
- Oversee the use- develop driver schedules; determine the availability of the bus and van prior to scheduling for use by organizations, committees or groups within the church
- Oversee the cleanliness- the bus and van must be cleaned and left in good condition after each use
- Oversee the maintenance- tires, repairs and other parts with approval of the Deacon and Trustee Board
