Mission Statement

 

In as much as Christ died for us, we the people of the Evangelistic Church Of Deliverance (ECOD) are resolved to witness for Christ and to totally committing our lives and resources to the will of Almighty God and to completely rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Our daily living must reflect our commitment to this purpose.  We are a people concerned with the state of our fellowman and our pledge to work to improve the quality of like throughout the world.  Therefore, we unite as one body in Christ to fulfill the following:

This witness we are responsible to God for, is based upon seven (7) irrefutable facts concerning our Lord Jesus Christ (Jude 1:4, II Timothy 2:1-4).

  1. His redemption (Galatians 3:10-14)
  2. His righteousness (II Corinthians 5:21)
  3. His rulership (Matthew 28:18)
  4. His resurrection (Romans 1:4)
  5. His resources (Matthew 28:18)
  6. His return (Acts 1:8-11, I Thessalonians 4:12-18)
  7. His relevancy (Philippians 4:13, II Corinthians 9:8-10)

Our Mission is to equip followers of Christ for the work of the ministry according to Ephesians 4:7-16.

        A.   Wednesday Night Prayer and Bible Study

        B.   Friday Night Deliverance Night

        C.   Sunday School for the whole family

        D.   Sunday Morning and Sunday Night Worship Service

        E.   Outreach Ministry

It is our goal that every member of this church will discover his or her place in the body of Christ and become a contributing  force to fulfilling the great commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our mission is to develop a holy habitation of believers in Christ identified as the local church according to Ephesians 2:19-22 so that God may dwell among us in glory and power.  At the same time it our desire to be identified in this city as the church in the heart of the city with people in the city of its heart, and also a church where people can come and find total deliverance from sin, sickness and oppression.
